The SharkBite 1″ Brass Lead-Free Barb Insert Coupling is a reliable and cost-effective solution for connecting two pieces of 1″ cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) tubing. This coupling is immediately testable to well over 100 PSI, ensuring a secure and leak-free connection. To secure the barb ends of the fittings to the PEX pipe, you can use the SharkBite TV# 597556 Cinch Clamps and TV# 608743 Cinch Tool, or the TV# 597325 Copper Crimp Rings and TV# 597693 Crimp Tool (not included). This coupling meets NSF/ANSI Standard 14-2009 and ASTM F 1807-9SI Standard for products intended for the transport of potable water, ANSI/NSF Standard 61 Annex G for lead-free compliance, and the wetted surface of this product contacted by consumable water contains less than 0.25% of lead by weight to meet Ab1953 California and Vt S152 Vermont low lead restrictions. Made of lead-free DZR brass, this coupling is durable and long-lasting.
