Maxforce FC Fire Ant Bait kills the queen and the colony. Maxforce FC Fire Ant Bait controls imported and native fire ants and other ants. Maxforce FC Fire Ant Bait Granular is for the control of imported fire ants. Fire ant mounds can go as deep as 15 feet below the surface and have numerous queens. Drenching the mound with an insecticide in most cases will not be sufficient to eradicate the colony.
